Distance : Distance: ~ 2.6 miles - 4.3 miles 
For a truly breathtaking run or walk, look no further than the Charles River Loop. Beginning at the Charles River Esplanade, you'll enjoy stunning views of Cambridge's cityscape and the tranquil flow of canoes and kayaks along the river. You can opt for a shorter loop by crossing the Mass Ave Bridge, or extend your journey by continuing to the BU Bridge crossover. With its perfect combination of distance and panoramic views, the Charles River Loop is an experience not to be missed.

If you choose to take the Mass Ave Bridge, you'll be rewarded with a refreshing breeze as you cross the Charles River and catch a glimpse of Cambridge's Museum of Science and Boston's iconic North End buildings. Turn right onto Memorial Drive and revel in the stunning view of Boston's glittering skyline. On your left, you'll spot some of MIT's educational and dorm buildings. To complete the loop, cross the Longfellow Bridge and enjoy the rare opportunity to run alongside the Red Line train, as this is one of the few areas where it runs above ground. Turn right onto Memorial Drive and choose between running on the sandy path next to the river or on the designated runners/bikers pathway. You can either pass by the Mass Ave Bridge or keep going towards the Longfellow Bridge. No matter which path you choose, you're in for an unforgettable experience .
